WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Create your own handmade fabric ribbon rose
• Learn the basics of Japanese fabric flower techniques (Tsumami Zaiku inspired)
• Follow guided, step-by-step instruction

• Time: 10:30 AM
• Duration: 1–1.5 hours
• Price: $30 per person (includes event admission + supports Care for Women)
• Age: 8+ (participants will be using a hot glue gun)

• Material kits will be available for purchase if you’d like to continue creating at home
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Peggy of PenguinPurl Handmade is a skilled artist specializing in Japanese fabric flower design.
With a background in floristry, she blends traditional Japanese techniques with modern floral styling to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Using upcycled materials and fabric scraps, each creation is thoughtfully designed and beautifully crafted.
Through this workshop, you’ll experience that same creativity — turning simple materials into something truly special.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
• Located inside Made for Women at the Abbotsford Ag-Rec Centre on the second floor in The Gallery. It is accessible via elevator or stairs.
• Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to check in using the VIP ticket line to receive your wristband
